La Asociación de becarios de la Fundación Rafael del Pino ha organizado un almuerzo con D. Jose Cerdán, fundador de Ei System, CEO de PeopleCall, operador de Voz IP, pionero en el mercado español de las comunicaciones IP y consejero delegado de Acens (ver perfil completo al final).
El almuerzo tuvo lugar el 28 de Octubre, en el comedor presidencial de la Fundación Rafael del Pino. Cerdán charló sobre su experiencia emprendedora y sobre los obstáculos de los emprendedores en la sociedad española actual con un grupo de exbecarios de la Fundaciones Rafael del Pino, “la Caixa“, Fulbright, March, Caja Madrid, Ramón Areces y Barriè de la Maza, así como exalumnos (de postgrado) de MIT, Stanford University, London Business School, Wharton, Columbia y University of Chicago.
Biografía de JOSÉ CERDÁN
José Cerdán nació en Zaragoza en 1966, donde cursó sus estudios en los colegios Maristas y Luis Buñuel. Su carrera profesional la inició con la puesta en marcha de una empresa de patrocinio deportivo y más tarde con el montaje de un negocio textil. Podo después pasó a formar parte en calidad de director de Marketing de una multinacional dedicada a la venta de ordenadores, donde se percató de las posibilidades que entonces ofrecía el mercado informático español.En 1990, junto con José Manuel Manotas y Santiago Mas, fundó [[Ei System]], compañía a la que siguió vinculado hasta 1998. Ésta fue la primera de las cuatro sociedades que configurarían el Grupo Estratos: Estratos Import, Ipermática, Estratos Informática y Flag Internacional Corp, dedicadas todas ellas a la comercialización de componentes informáticos, importados de Estados Unidos para el ensamblaje de ordenadores, así como a la venta de equipos ya montados bajo la marca Ei System.
En 1999 vende la compañía al Grupo Dixon, hoy en España la cadena PC City, al mes decide fundar la primera compañía de Voz IP en Europa, Peoplecall, que sigue funcionando hasta hoy con más de un millón de clientes y así ser pionero en esta tecnología,
En 2005 funda un acompaña aérea que opera vuelos a África con aviones 757 llamada Bravo Airlines, también es accionista de una compañía de la compañía de helicópteros Intercopters, y de una Compañía de Publicidad y Trabajos aéreos llamada Álamo Aviación.
Jose Cerdán, sus aficionado a la aviación, ya que el es Piloto de Avión, así como de Helicópteros desde hace diez años, es aficionado a deportes como ski, wakeboarding, jet-ski…etc y todos los deportes extremos.
Es ponentes en numerosos foros desde políticos como puede ser la fundación Faes, así como universidades, IESE, IE, y foros empresariales.
