Rafael del Pino y Moreno, Ferrovial Group and Foundation Rafael del Pino’s founder has died. He was 87.
After a life plenty of challenges and success Rafael del Pino decided to retire, and dedicate his last years to the creation of a Foundation which objectives are “the improvement of the knowledge of Spain’s future leaders, the promotion of individual initiative and the promotion of those principles related to free market and free enterprise“. Less than 10 years later the Foundation and its scholarship program are already a reference in Spain. About 130 scholarship recipients have had the opportunity to study in the best Universities in the World thanks to the Foundation’s support.
Rafael del Pino Alumni Association expresses its condolences to Rafael del Pino’s family and friends, and wants to thank once again the economical and personal effort which has boosted the path to achieve our own goals. We hope not to disappoint him.

Mis condolencias para la familia del senor que tiene el nombre que llevo desde que naci.Un especial saludo para la familia de un genial hombre que amaso una gran fortuna y deja un gran legado a sus descendientes.Quisiera saber si es posible,si alguien de su familia tiene la gentileza de decirme el lugar especifico de Espana donde nacio este ilustre hombre,ya que soy cubano y mi familia dice que mis ancestros son de Pontevedra,Vigo.Es simple curiosidad,yo vivo actualmente en Estados Unidos y estoy investigando mis ancestros de mis padres.Gracias Rafael

En cualquier caso “Del Pino” es un apellido más o menos común y creo que te va a ser difícil llegar a un origen muy determinado.
