Manuel Giménez Rasero

Born in Ronda (Málaga) in 1983. Manuel has a Bachelor Degree in Law (2006), one in Business Administration (2007) both obtained at the Universidad Pontificia Comillas and a Bachelor Degree in Political Sciences (2008) at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. During one academic year, he attended to the Université Libre de Bruxelles and to the Solvay Business School. In 2003 Manuel obtained the Investigation Prize of the National Debate League with the Essay: “Is adoption by homosexual couples acceptable?” In 2005 and 2006 he represented Madrid at the Simulation du Parlement Européen, in Brussels (Belgium) and Montreal (Canada), acting as Chef de Groupe de la Gauche Unie. In 2005 he created the Andalusian Parliament Simulation (http://sipa2010.wordpress.com/ ). He publishes a weekly article at La Voz de Ronda (www.lavozderonda.es). Between 2006 and 2009 Manuel works as Associate Lawyer in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department of Clifford Chance in Madrid. Since then, Manuel works as economist in the area of social Projects of Alternativa Solidaria Chiapas, AC, in Chiapas, Mexico (http://www.alsolchiapas.org/ ), and advices diverse indigenous communities in proceedings before the Inter American Commission on Human Rights. He belongs to the Group of International Lawyers of the General Council of the Spanish Advocacy and to the Human Rights Institute of the International Bar Association. In 2010 he is admitted to a Master in Economic Analysis of Lay and Philosophy of Law at the New York University with a scholarship granted by the Rafael del Pino Foundation
