Jorge Masía Tejedor

Born in Madrid in 1980. He studies Law, Business and Economics in the Carlos III (Madrid) University and in the Loughborough University (UK), with and Erasmus scholarship, completing his last Degree in 2005. During his studies, he collaborates with the faculty and completes and internship in The Spanish National Energy Commission, obtaining afterwards a MLL at Instituto de Empresa Business School (entirely financed by a scholarship granted by Ernst & Young) being first of his promotion (Extraordinary Award No 1). Jorge Masía joined the department of Corporate at DLA Piper in February 2007. Previously he had worked for Ernst & Young Lawyers and the National Commission of Energy. He has experience in Corporate Law advising to groups of companies and in diverse operations of company reconstruction. He also collaborates with the department of Competition, working and advising both national and international clients. In July 2006, he won the GARRIGUES 2006`Award for Young Lawyers and a year later he has been awarded a scholarship from Rafael del Pino Foundation with the view to study a LLM program at Northwester University (Chicago). He is fluent in English.
