Esther Rodríguez Fernández

Born in Madrid in 1978, she earned a degree in Law in 2001 and a degree in Business Administration in 2002 from Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE). She also studied in WHU- Otto Beisheim School of Management (Germany), with a scholarship from the Eramus program. During her studies, she did several internships: in AB Asesores, Madrid (Spain), in Bosch GmbH, Reutlingen (Germany) and in OnVista AG, Cologne (Germany). In 2002, she started her professional career in the Spanish Commercial Office of the Embassy of Spain in Bangkok, where she promoted the exports and investments of Spanish companies in Thailand, Cambodia and Lao PDR. One year later she joined the Human Development Unit of the World Bank, in the regional office of Bangkok. Since August 2005, she has worked in the Strategy, Finance and Risk Department of the World Bank in Washington, D.C. (USA) where she has prepared analysis and recommendations for the Office of the President and for several vice-presidencies. In 2007 she started her MBA at Harvard Business School, with a concentration in International Business, with the financial support of the Rafael del Pino Foundation scholarship. After concluding her MBA, she will focus her career in the expansion of Spanish companies in South East Asia. She speaks English and German
