Arnau Gutiérrez Camps

Born in Madrid in 1977. He finished his Political Science studies at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in 1999, and two years later he obtained the International Relations Diploma of Advanced Studies. In 2002 he participated in the United Nations Graduate Study Program and moved to Washington, DC, where he studied at the School of Foreign Service of Georgetown University. Arnau also attended seminars and courses at the University of Birmingham (1998-1999), the London School of Economics (2001) and the Bonn Universität (2003). He obtained grants from the Fundación Rafael del Pino, the Institut Universitari d’Estudis Europeus UAB, the Fundación Caja Madrid and the Georgetown University. Arnau worked at the Internacional Relations Office of the Diputaciò de Barcelona and the Maritime Intelligence Group. Currently, he is Research & Publications Coordinator at the Observatory for Decentralised Cooperation EU-LA (an EU’s URB-AL project). Arnau’s research interests include the European integration process and Transatlatic relations (particularly development and security policies).
