Scholar’s dinner in Barcelona

Last Wednesday 17 of June, since Iñaki Berenguer was visiting Barcelona, a group of scholars and ex – scholars of the Rafael del Pino Foundation got together to have dinner and to get to know each other a little better at the restaurant “Da Greco”.
Some of the participants were : Arnau Gutierrez-Camps, Fernando Bermejo, Alberto López Toledo y Judit Anido During the evening the following topics, among others, were discussed: current political situation, the present and future of science and technology in our country and the effects that the economic crisis is having on the population. We hope to meet up again soon and keep analyzing the current situation in such fun and interesting manner.

Last week took place the final interviews for the selection of scholars 2009. Finally, there were 11 who were chosen and who will commence their scholarship on years 2009/2010 or 2010/2011.

Lunch with Jose Lopez

The Rafael del Pino Alumni Association, together with the Alumni Association of MIT in Spain, had the pleasure to organize last Thursday 7 May 2009 a lunch-colloquium with Mr José López (see complete profile below), founder of Netspira Networks, Spanish technological company sold to Ericsson in 2005. During the lunch, José told us about his past experience with Netspira and his future projects like Bequant.
